    CVI Eligibility – What Needs Inspection?

    Under B.C. law, the following commercial vehicles require regular CVIs:
    • Trucks with a GVW over 5,000 kg
    • Commercial trailers over 1,400 kg
    • Buses, taxis, and ride-shares
    • Any vehicle operated for hire or business use
    If your vehicle meets these criteria, an annual or semi-annual CVI inspection is legally required.
